The
town of Neepawa
Neepawa is a vibrant community with a population of over 3,200 people, located a few short hours West of Winnipeg, and 45 minutes North of Brandon, Neepawa is a great place to live, work and raise a family. It has a strong agricultural, manufacturing and tourism base and a strong transportation centre, located at the Junction of Highway #5 and the Yellowhead Highway #16.
On average, the area enjoys over 2,000 hours of sunshine per year. Neepawa sits at the meeting place of 4 geophysical areas. It is said that there are more species birds in the area than in any other area in North America, due to the convergence of flyways and nesting habits. The Trans Canada Trail System winds its way through Neepawa connecting to the Rossburn Subdivision Trail that links the town with Russell along the old CN rail line. Neepawa is a short drive from Sprucewoods Provincial Park and Riding Mountain National Park.
Neepawa has a strong real estate market: affordable, quality housing and land to industrial sites and acreages. Over 200 businesses are located in Neepawa and area, which contributes to the strong labour market.
Neepawa also offers tourist & recreational attractions such as 18-hole golf, camping, Margaret Laurence Home, Lily Festival, hiking & cross-country skiing trails. Neepawa is the proud home of the Neepawa Natives Junior A Hockey club.
